What an exciting season it is! New life is sprouting all around bringing with it many refreshing changes. In keeping with the newness of spring, we have something new to share with our valued readers. Accent Gwinnett has relocated to charming historic Buford! We’ve enjoyed a warm welcome from our neighbors as we’ve settled into the new office just behind the beautiful Bona Allen Mansion. Along with our move we’ve added to our staff, (welcome Kim and Tracy!) and are looking forward to continued growth as we bring you the latest happenings in the community.
There are so many great things taking place in Gwinnett this time of year. It truly was tough to decide what to feature in this issue! But as you can see by the cover, we decided to focus on sports in Gwinnett. It’s a bit of an understatement to say that we Gwinnettians are passionate about our sports and we certainly have a lot to be passionate about! We’re a community budding with great programs, (some of the finest in the nation), countless opportunities and a never-ending pool of cheering enthusiasts. We’re especially excited here at Accent Gwinnett because the Tour De Georgia will be cycling right in front of our new office on April 21st! We’d love for you to join us on our front lawn to watch and applaud the cyclists. Needless to say, with that event and all the other quality sports events and programs going on around us, it didn’t take us long to see that sports in Gwinnett deserves its own voice in every issue. So watch for our sports section in future publications!
Also in this issue is another important and vital initiative for Gwinnett. It is Partnership Gwinnett, a strategy designed to produce more jobs, generate wealth in our county and much more. You’ve seen the growth for yourself. It’s both thrilling and daunting. As one of America’s fastest growing counties, we have a lot at stake as our numbers increase and with forethought and a solid plan, Gwinnett will continue to be a great place to live.
Finally, it’s important to the Accent Gwinnett team that you know how much we appreciate you, our readers. We’ve received very kind and helpful feedback, encouragement and ideas from so many of you and as a result, we’re growing better and stronger with each issue. To all of you, thank you.
