Visit Italy without leaving Georgia

by: Amanda Geske

Where can you go to find the most exquisite combination of Italian cuisine and fine specialty wines in an enchanting atmosphere? If you can’t travel to Italy to dine, share the experience of this romantic country at Dolce Vita Italian restaurant instead. Tucked away in the heart of John’s Creek, Dolce Vita invites you to relax and enjoy “the sweet life” by offering authentic Italian dining. Dolce Vita is a family run restaurant that originated in Italy. Owners Franco and Karen De Amicis, as well as other family members, are quick to welcome you to experience their true Italian heritage and award-winning cuisine.

The restaurant is set in an elegant and modern facility that offers three excellent choices of seating. Feast inside the beautiful main dining room, the stylish lounge and bar area, or sit out on the new patio and enjoy the cool breeze. In this Italian setting, choose from a wide range of authentic Italian dishes made to order. With an array of freshly prepared pasta dishes, salads, vegetables, beef, pork, poultry, and seafood dishes, to delectable desserts and exquisite wines. Everyone will find a favorite at Dolce Vita.

Among the favorites are the Osso Buco con Risotto allo Zafferano, which is braised veal shank served with saffron risotto and steamed spinach, and the Cannelloni Vanessa, a dish that was personally created by Franco which is a fresh cannelloni filled with ham, spinach, mushrooms, and mozzarella, baked in Parmesan cream sauce. They can fulfill most any dining desire and can even accommodate a low calorie fare. All dishes are priced comparably with other area restaurants and leave you with the satisfaction of knowing you have dined on some of the freshest cuisines available.

Dolce Vita features marvelous Wine Dinners on the third Wednesday of every month, which include five-course meals paired with specially selected wines to complement each dish. There are special offers, cuisines, and brunches available on select dates and holidays, and you do not want to miss the live entertainment under the stars on the patio on Friday nights.

Dolce Vita is open Monday through Thursday 5 pm until 9:30 pm, and Friday and Saturdays from 5 pm and seats until 10:30 pm, with the patio open for guests from 11 am until close each day. The owners and staff have a strong passion for creating and delivering excellent dishes and it is truly shown in the service. Dolce Vita is the perfect place for a romantic candlelit dinner, business luncheon or any occasion where you want to enjoy fine Italian food and beverage.
